Fun Date Ideas #2: Light Up The Sky

Fun Date Ideas Include A Planetarium

Morrison Planetarium in San Francisco

Have you wracked your brain for some fun date ideas but come up empty? Here’s another great idea for a fun date that’s sure to please.

Like last time, you no doubt want a place that’s non-traditional, that’s indoors and that’s fun…wait! I’ve got just the place for you!

Why not visit your local planetarium!

What’s a planetarium you ask?

Here’s what Wikipedia has to say on the subject:

A planetarium is a theater built primarily for presenting educational and entertaining shows about astronomy and the night sky, or for training in celestial navigation. A dominant feature of most planetariums is the large dome-shaped projection screen onto which scenes of stars, planets and other celestial objects can be made to appear and move realistically to simulate the complex ‘motions of the heavens’.

A planetarium shows not only the night sky but most put on a show that can be very entertaining. Many planetariums have laser light shows in addition to various music, concert and video presentations, and the cost is very reasonable. And did I tell you they turn the lights off?

“If you’re looking to learn about the history or origin of the stars or anything like that, I suggest the planetarium. I’ve been to one, and it was SUPER FUN!” — CG
