How To Access Dating And Seduction News Groups

If you’re not familiar with the world of News Groups, there are plenty that deal with dating, romance, seduction and more. Here’s a quick definition of exactly what a News Group is quoted from Wikipedia:

“A Usenet newsgroup is a repository usually within the Usenet system, for messages posted from many users in different locations. The term may be confusing to some, because it is usually a discussion group. Newsgroups are technically distinct from, but functionally similar to, discussion forums on the World Wide Web. Newsreader software is used to read newsgroups.”

So a news group is really just a kind of specialized forum where people discuss common interests. Each news group generally represents a single topic and there are tens of thousands of news groups worldwide with every kind of specialization imaginable. And if you don’t find a news group for your particular topic you can always start your own by reading: How Do I Start A Usenet Group?

How To Access Any News Group

Access to the 50,000+ news groups can be made through a paid news server or through a free news server. Since some of the news groups can be pretty raw and uncensored, most Internet providers usually only provide access to a smaller subset of groups for their members (much fewer than are actually available).

When looking for a provider for newsgroup access, talk to your own Internet provider first.

Most internet providers will provide you with newsgroup access as part of your Internet access plan and can show you how to access the newsgroups from within their particular system.

If you can’t find the individual news groups you want through your provider however, here are some sites which maintain links to free Usenet servers (each link below will open in a new window):

Note: not all servers will contain the full 50,000+ set of newsgroups so you may have to scout around a bit.

When dealing with news groups you may, from time to time, run across a technical term or two that seem confusing. Here are a couple of the most common terms explained in a Q&A format:

What does NNTP stand for?

“NNTP is the protocol used by most Open News Servers and stands for Network News Transfer Protocol. News servers are where the various news groups are hosted and keep their documents. Some news servers maintain searchable archives of various news groups past postings.

What is an Open News Server? Are there any Closed News Servers?

“Yes there are closed news servers, but they are referred to as “secured” or “secure” news servers each requiring you to provide a user name or ID and a password to gain access. An Open News Server on the other hand can be accessed by any0ne with access to the Internet.”
